English Breakfast Tea Bags

Having a strong, unique flavour and containing plenty of antioxidants, our English Breakfast Tea has a variety of health benefits. These include improved cholesterol, better gut health and decreased blood pressure.

Having a reddish-brown colour, the flavour of this tea is stronger and more robust than that of our herbal teas and its rich flavour brings about a sense of alertness in the morning. Depending on its maker, the taste may be slightly sweet or bitter. 

What makes it great? 

Without milk or natural sweeteners, English breakfast tea contains almost no calories and zero sugar, making it an ideal choice for those with diabetes and anyone keeping an eye on daily caloric intake.

Brewing instructions: 

  1. Boil one cup of water at 90-100°C.
  2. Use one tea bag per cup of hot water.
  3. Stir the tea once, and then let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes. 
  4. Stir again halfway through.
  5. Remove the tea bags.
  6. Your tea is now ready to drink! 

Brewing it correctly means that it will have a deep aroma and be a bit nutty, but if you’d like a sweeter taste, add a teaspoon of sugar and stir well before drinking.

If you want to have milk tea, add warm or hot milk to your brewed tea after it has steeped for the prescribed time.

Tasting Notes

Dark red/brown in colour, it is a very oxidized tea. 

English Breakfast Tea has a brisk flavour and a fruity sweetness with a slight astringency at the end and is often richer than other tea types.
